If you are coming by car, use the Tenbosch Road entrance, this is the second entrance road off the N4 highway if you are coming from Malelane, Johannesburg. As the first entrance is a bad sand road, and Tenbosch Road is a tar road all the way to Marloth Park
JSL Transport is the simplest and cheapest way to get to Kruger Park Hostel from either Johannesburg or Pretoria, and there is a daily shuttle (From Johannesburg to Kruger Park Hostel it leaves midday from the Airport and From the Hostel to the Airport it leaves early in the morning arriving at the airport midday). You can book this directly online at: https://www.jsltransport.co.za/
If you are arriving by JSL Transport, in most cases they will drop you off directly at the hostel, once they have dropped off the rest of their passengers at the Filling Station in Marloth Park.
Speak to the driver before you depart, to confirm if he will be dropping you off at the hostel or not. If not, please get hold of Rene - Tel/WhatsApp: +27 76-463-9573 or Devon - Tel/WhatsApp: +27 60-824-5300 and one of them will meet you at the drop off point, and take you through to the Hostel.
Should you not be able to reach either Rene or Devon (they may be in the Kruger, or sometimes reception is not what it is supposed to be) then contact Marion - Tel/WhatsApp: +1 705-641-8227 but please only call after 1:30pm as Marion is based in Canada and in a different time zone.
Though O R Tambo Airport is not the closest airport to the hostel, it is the closest where most international flights arrive into, and from here you can easily catch a daily shuttle to the Hostel with JSL Transport (See above for details). Should you arrive to late to catch the shuttle there are two hotels at the Airport
The shuttle transfer from Or Tambo Airport to Kruger Park Hostel is approximately 7 hours +- 420km or five hour drive by car
The KMI Airport just outside of Mbombela (once called Nelspruit) has regular shuttle flights to Cape Town or Johannesburg and is only an hour an a half drive away from Kruger Park Hostel, but there are no busses or regular shuttles between the airport and Kruger Park Hostel or Marloth Park, and so you would need to book a separate transfer with the hostel.
Skukuza Airport is directly in the Kruger Park and there are scheduled flights into this airport from Cape Town or Johannesburg, and closer to the hostel then Johannesburg, it is an approximate 4 hour drive to the hostel, and you would either need to rent a car at the airport or arrange for a transfer
