3 Countries, One Hostel
How a single bush base in Marloth Park opens the door to South Africa, Eswatini, and Mozambique

Most travellers plan their holidays by hopping from hotel to hotel, country to country—packing bags, changing operators, losing time, and often losing money along the way. At Kruger Park Hostel, we’ve quietly done something different.
From one relaxed bush base in Marloth Park, our guests can experience three countries in one trip—South Africa, Eswatini, and Mozambique—all through one hostel, one team, and one trusted operator.
And once you start looking around the world, you’ll realise just how rare that actually is.

One Base. Three Borders. Countless Adventures.
Kruger Park Hostel sits right on the edge of Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife reserves. Wildlife roams freely through Marloth Park, and nights are filled with the sound of lions in the distance.
But the real magic happens when you realise how close we are to two international borders.
- Camp deep inside Kruger National Park on multi-day safaris
- Cross into Eswatini for wilderness, culture, and mountain reserves
- Travel east to Mozambique and camp near the Indian Ocean
All without changing accommodation, re-booking transport, or dealing with multiple operators. You unpack once—and then the region opens up around you.

South Africa: The Wild Heart
Most journeys start where we are based: Kruger National Park. Our multi-day camping safaris go far beyond a standard game drive. Guests travel, camp, cook, and explore together—guided by people who live and work in this ecosystem.
Days are spent tracking wildlife; nights are spent around the fire under star-filled skies. This is not a rushed, checkbox safari. It’s immersive, participatory, and deeply connected to place.

Eswatini: Mountains, Culture & Quiet Wilderness
A few hours in the opposite direction, and the landscape changes completely.
Eswatini offers cooler mountains, open grasslands, and a sense of calm that surprises many travellers. Our camping trips here focus on protected reserves, wildlife, and cultural insight—without crowds or mass tourism.
For guests staying two to three weeks, Eswatini becomes a perfect contrast to Kruger: slower, quieter, and incredibly scenic.

Mozambique: The Ocean at the End of the Road
Then there’s Mozambique.
In just a few hours, bushveld turns to palm trees, sand, and warm Indian Ocean water. Our Mozambique camping trips take guests from wildlife to waves—sleeping near the beach, swimming, snorkeling, and sharing meals by the fire with the sound of the sea.
Few travel experiences transition this dramatically without flights—and even fewer do it from the same base.

Is This Possible Anywhere Else?
Globally, it’s extremely rare to spend 2–3 weeks in one place and visit three countries through a single hostel or operator.
What makes this region unique is the combination of close borders, wildly different landscapes, and a locally run operation that allows guests to travel slowly, comfortably, and deeply.
Guests don’t feel like they’re constantly “moving on” they feel like they’re going deeper.

Three Countries. One Story.
At Kruger Park Hostel, we don’t see borders as barriers—we see them as doorways.
From lions and campfires to mountain air and ocean swims, all starting from one bush home, shared meals, and familiar faces.
Three countries. One hostel. One unforgettable journey.
